IntelliGov Wireless dramatically improves productivity by enabling government workers to respond to service requests while in the field. This solution lets Public Works staff, for example, enter or check on the status of street light outages, abandoned vehicles, snow removal, and much more. Workers simply login using a standard handheld device, such as a Palm, Blackberry, or smart phone, and access service request information.
Track requests and events
IntelliGov Wireless can be equipped with a Global Positioning System (GPS) to allow workers to perform location-based queries on events that have occurred within a certain area. For example, Public Works staff can stand at a specific intersection and use IntelliGov Wireless to find all service requests within a 500-feet radius.
This technology can also be used to query 911 emergency data. For example, IntelliGov Wireless can show drug enforcement staff where broken alley lights have been reported so they can monitor drug transactions there.
Photograph service requests
IntelliGov Wireless can also be equipped with a camera phone to allow repair crews to quickly and easily photograph their work. The employees photograph the problem both before and after the repair; the system automatically time, date, and location stamps the photographs. Managers can then know how long it really takes crews to perform certain repairs.
